This handcrafted [Kondo] Setto Hammer (Striking Hammer) is a highly versatile implement optimized for versatile daily masonry work. Belonging to the balanced mid-weight tier, the 900g model delivers ample driving force while significantly minimizing arm strain over extended working shifts. It serves as an excellent all-purpose choice for driving hex/square chipping chisels and edge trimming in Dry Stone Walling (DSW), shaping smaller stone components for Niwashi (Japanese gardeners), and executing precise modifications in architectural stonework.

The monolithic head is forged from solid high-grade tool steel and features precision double-faced hardening on both striking faces to prevent deformation under continuous heavy impact. This version comes pre-installed with a resilient Kamatsuka handle, measuring approximately 35cm (13.8") in total length, which effectively absorbs harsh feedback during heavy-duty operations. ⚠️ WARNING: Wood naturally shrinks and expands depending on climate. Always check the security of the handle and ensure the head is firmly wedged before commencing work. Never operate a hammer if the head shows signs of loosening.
