Delivery charges (International Shipping)
We use EMS (Express Mail Service) or DHL. Delivery charges vary depending on the destination and the weight of the items.
* Shipping costs are calculated and applied individually per order.

Customs Duties & Import Taxes
For all international shipments, the buyer is 100% responsible for any customs duties, VAT, and import taxes required by their country's customs office.
* U.S. Customers: Under U.S. Section 232, a 50% customs duty applies to steel products (knives/pruners).
* EU/UK Customers: We cannot process orders where the product total (excluding shipping) is under €150 (EU) or £135 (UK).

Payment Fees
Payments are processed via PayPal, Wise, or Revolut. Customers are responsible for any applicable currency conversion fees.

Orders will be processed and prepared for shipment only after the payment is fully confirmed via PayPal, Wise, or Revolut.

How to Order

Online sales via our shopping cart system.
* Notice for UK Customers: In compliance with UK law regarding bladed articles, the recipient must be 18 years or older.
* Notice for Hotel Deliveries (JAPAN ONLY): We only ship to hotels within Japan. The "Shipping Name" MUST exactly match the name of the registered hotel guest.
* PO Boxes: We cannot ship to PO Boxes, Poste Restante, or APO/FPO addresses.

Shipping timeframe

Delivery Timeframe
- In-Stock Items: Typically, it takes 1 to 3 weeks for an order to arrive, depending on the destination area.
- Made-to-Order Items: Please contact us BEFORE placing your order. We will check the current blacksmith's schedule and provide you with an estimated delivery time. Lead times vary significantly depending on the item, ranging from several weeks to over 6 months (half a year).
* Deliveries may be delayed during the Japanese New Year holidays and other long vacation periods.
* We will send you an email notification with tracking information once your order has been shipped.

Exchanges/returns/cancellations

Returns & Exchanges (Defective Items)
We accept returns or exchanges ONLY if the item has an initial defect, is damaged during transit, or is incorrect.
Please inspect your items immediately upon arrival and contact us via the inquiry form within 7 days of delivery, including clear photos of the problem area.
* TETSUFUKU will cover the return shipping costs only for verified defective or incorrect items.
* We cannot accept any claims from the 8th day onward after delivery.

Customer Convenience Returns & Refusals
If a package is returned to us due to customer convenience (e.g., "changed your mind", refusing to pay local customs duties/VAT, invalid address, or failure to pick up), WE WILL NOT ISSUE A FULL REFUND.
The refund amount will be the total paid MINUS all incurred costs:
- Original shipping costs
- Return shipping costs (Actual carrier fee incurred; based on past results, this is typically 1 to 1.5 times the original shipping fee)
- Non-refundable payment processing fees (e.g., PayPal fees)
- Restoration/damage fees (if the returned item is opened, used, or damaged)
* If you ship a return yourself, it must be sent via prepaid trackable freight. We do not accept cash-on-delivery (COD) returns.

Terms and Conditions of Sale

BY CHECKING THE "AGREE" BOX AND COMPLETING THIS PURCHASE, YOU EXPLICITLY AGREE TO ALL THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

[1] ORDER CANCELLATION & CONVENIENCE RETURNS
- Customers can cancel an order only BEFORE it ships. Once shipped, it cannot be canceled.
- For returns due to customer convenience (including refusing to pay local customs duties/VAT, or changing your mind), A FULL REFUND WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
- In such cases, the refund will be the total paid amount MINUS:
* Original shipping costs
* Return shipping costs (Actual carrier fee incurred; typically 1 to 1.5 times the original shipping fee)
* Non-refundable payment processing fees (e.g., PayPal fees)
* Restoration/damage fees (if the item is opened, used, or damaged)
- All refunds are processed in Japanese Yen (JPY). We are not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations or bank transfer fees.

[2] CONCLUSION OF SALES CONTRACT
- The sales contract is officially concluded when the buyer clicks the "buy button" on the purchase screen and completes the checkout.

[3] COMPLETION OF DELIVERY & RISK
- Delivery is considered complete when TETSUFUKU hands the package over to the carrier (EMS or DHL) and it dispatches from Japan.
- Ownership and risk transfer to the buyer upon completion of payment and dispatch. Any transit issues will be handled using the carrier's insurance.
- We do not offer domestic shipping inside Japan except for designated hotel deliveries (Japan hotels only, booking name must match).

[4] DEFECTIVE ITEMS & INITIAL FAILURE
- We accept returns or exchanges within 7 days of delivery ONLY for initial defects, transit damage, or incorrect items received.
- You must inspect your items immediately upon arrival and contact us via the inquiry form within 7 days, including clear photos.
- We cannot accept any claims from the 8th day onward.

[5] MEANS OF SETTLEMENT
- Payments must be completed via PayPal, Wise, or Revolut. Shipping costs are entirely the buyer's burden.

[6] LIABILITIES & CUSTOMS
- We are not liable for shipping delays caused by customs procedures, import restrictions, natural disasters, or foreign disputes.
- Customs clearance operations (such as unpacking for inspection or import duty assessments) are entirely outside our control, and the shop takes no responsibility for them.

About Order Cancellation & Fees
Customers can request a cancellation ONLY before the product has been shipped. Once dispatched, orders cannot be retrieved or canceled under any circumstances.
All cancellations before shipping are processed based on Japanese Yen (JPY). We will refund the amount after deducting the non-refundable PayPal/payment fees and any applicable currency conversion spread costs incurred during the transaction.

Strict Refund Policy for Refusals & Returns
If a package is returned to Japan due to unpaid customs duties, refusal of delivery, invalid address, or any other customer convenience ("changed your mind"), WE WILL NOT ISSUE A FULL REFUND. Original shipping, return shipping costs (actual carrier fee; typically 1 to 1.5 times the original shipping fee), payment processing fees, and any product restoration costs (if opened or used) will strictly be deducted from your refund.

EU and UK Tax Compliance (IOSS Regulations)
Due to EU/UK tax regulations, we cannot ship orders where the pure PRODUCT TOTAL (EXCLUDING shipping costs) is under €150 for the EU or £135 for the UK. If a payment is mistakenly made below these thresholds, the order will be canceled (subject to non-refundable fee deductions) or you must purchase additional items to clear the required amount.
