This handcrafted [Kondo] Setto Hammer (Striking Hammer) is a precision-oriented implement engineered for fine, delicate material clearing. Operating as the most lightweight selection in the series, this 500g model grants the master absolute control over impact velocity, making it the perfect choice for delicate micro-adjustments on contact seams in Dry Stone Walling (DSW), fine detail styling on decorative elements in Japanese Gardens, and driving character carving chisels (Jibori Nomi) for intricate stone inscriptions.

The monolithic head is forged from solid high-grade tool steel and features precision double-faced hardening on both striking faces to prevent deformation under continuous heavy impact. This version comes pre-installed with a resilient Kamatsuka handle, measuring approximately 35cm (13.8") in total length, which effectively absorbs harsh feedback during heavy-duty operations. ⚠️ WARNING: Wood naturally shrinks and expands depending on climate. Always check the security of the handle and ensure the head is firmly wedged before commencing work. Never operate a hammer if the head shows signs of loosening.
