Item Description
Masterfully forged by [Kondo], this compact, light-weight hexagonal carbide-tipped chisel is built for meticulous stone cleaning, fine finishing, and close-quarters adjustment. It offers exceptional agility and low-fatigue performance, keeping your work highly steady and controlled when executing fine, repetitive hammer strikes to fit small structural stones in Dry Stone Walling (DSW), refine delicate rock interfaces in Japanese Gardens, or dress fine architectural stone elements.
This design firmly sets the carbide tip within a pre-drilled cavity in the steel shaft, filled with brazed brass, which effectively secures the tip and reduces detachment under continuous usage. It provides a highly direct impact response, giving you maximum tactical control over subtle surface details without risking component separation.
Please adjust an angle in Aoto of the GC whetstone 120H according to the stone to be used before beginning to use. When using it for soft stones, such as the Shirakawa stone and an Oya stone , it is about 60 degrees. In the case of granite, it is common to adjust to an obtuse angle rather than 55 degrees.
If you are a professional, the optimal SETTO for Angle picking Chisel of this size (Diameter=22mm Carbide bits=9mm*12mm / embed) is a 0.8kg thing. However, when there is little experience, please use SETTO lighter than this.
