The [Kondo] mameYA is a compact, mini-sized variant of the traditional single-piece Japanese stone dividing wedge chip. Forged as a single solid piece of durable tool steel, this miniature wedge is specifically optimized for small-scale rock splitting, fine detailing, and working with thinner or more delicate stone materials. The mameYA is designed to be placed directly into narrow trenches pre-grooved by a diamond wheel or driven straight into active hairline cracks during structural masonry adjustments. Deploying a series of two or more of these mini chips and striking them uniformly with a hammer yields highly controlled fracturing with an authentic, completely natural broken surface.
