The Extra Turn for the 270mm Shears

About Replacement Spring (Size 8-3) for 270mm Topiary & Root Pruning Shears

This spring uses a thicker gauge wire than our Size 7 spring, and it's wound with one extra turn at the center, what Tobisho calls "8-wire, 3-wrap." That extra turn and the heavier wire give it more resistance, matched to the larger 270mm single-handed shears. It fits our full 270mm lineup: the Topiary Shears (straight blade, curved blade, guard-ring, and left-handed) and the Root Pruning Shears.

It's a straight push-in design: no bolt needs to come out, the old spring simply unhooks and the new one presses back into place. It takes a reasonable amount of grip strength, more so than the smaller sizes given the heavier wire, but the mechanism itself is straightforward.
