Item Description
Masterfully forged by [Kondo], this heavy-duty hexagonal carbide-tipped chisel is built for serious masonry demolition and bulk material removal. Engineered with the largest mass in the series to deliver overwhelming force, it crushes stubborn stone high spots effortlessly, making it a powerful asset for roughing out large structural walling blocks in DSW, reshaping monumental rocks in Japanese Gardens, and heavy-duty architectural clearing.
The Embedded tip structure deeply sets the tungsten carbide into a pre-drilled hole in the steel body with brass flowed into the clearance gaps. While it provides a more direct strike feedback to your hand, this rigid design makes the joint highly resistant to fracturing, physically preventing tip loss under the harshest, most demanding field conditions.
Please adjust an angle in Aoto of the GC whetstone 120H according to the stone to be used before beginning to use. When using it for soft stones, such as the Shirakawa stone and an Oya stone , it is about 60 degrees. In the case of granite, it is common to adjust to an obtuse angle rather than 55 degrees.
If you are a professional, the optimal SETTO for Angle picking Chisel of this size (Diameter=30mm Carbide bits=10mm*12mm / embed) is a 1.0 to 1.3 kg thing. However, when there is little experience, please use SETTO lighter than this.
